Refunding my badge cost if I get a Pass...

    Refunding my badge cost if I get a Pass...

    I've poked around, but haven't seen an official answer this this scenario:

     

    I want to preregister starting on May 1st.  Obviously then I need a badge by May first as well!

    However, I have in the past won a badge from WotC in the past.  I am playing in a tournament on May 27th where teh top 2 participants will win 4 day passes to Gen Con.

    SO:  If I buy my badge, and then get this pass, can I have the original cost of my badge applied back to my account (I don't necessarily want a refund, just a credit would be fine!).

    Ummmmmmm........good question!!!!!  I would think it would work, and I definitely know that account credits are possible; but yeah, there's the whole question of being able to refund your badge and still have outstanding event tickets.  Hmmm.....I would suggest you email Stacie, the customer service Queen:

    And please post your response from her here, as this issue has come up before, and I don't know the answer.

    Hi Pat,

    Thanks for your query! Here's what I suggest, buy a 4day badge so that you will be able to buy events on May 1st.  Once you receive the WOTC pass, shoot me an email and I will help you with the refund at that time.  We will have to do an exchange.  my email is, customerservice@gencon.com

    You mentioned before that you sent an email to us but never received a reply.  My sincere apologies, we've had technical difficulties with our email inboxes due to the mother load of spam.

    Thanks so much, I hated the thought of winning the pass but having no way to use it...  I'll pass this news along to the rest of the people who may be able to win a pass this way.

     

    No problem on the non-reply, that's why I posted again, figured I'd get your attention one way or another!
