    andi1235:

My sister told me about something called (around here) "The Meijer game," Meijer being a 24-hour everything store (like a Super Walmart) in the Midwest area (there are lots in MI, and some in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky (I think).

Anyway, the rules of the game are think of the 2 things you can buy, in addition to a pack of condoms, in the middle of the night, that would most freak out the cashier.  Meijer sells pretty much anything you can think of, even has a petstore section, so one list I remember offhand included a hamster, rubber gloves, and a pack of condoms....(eww).  Anyway, I'm sure you get the idea, and the sky is the limit, since Meijer has a section for almost anything.

In many Vampire games, my friends and I have often wondered what vampires do in cities without Meijer or other 24 hour convenience stores..."Hey, I'm going to go to Meijer at 3 am and buy a shotgun, ok?" and there's nothing much the GM can do (they really do sell weapons!)...

    Solitude:

Am I the only person that requires two changes of clothing a day?Huh? I have a hard time choosing sometimes. And that's before costumes.

Don't forget a sweater! The convention center gets cold.

Unless it's maybe a two day trip, I almost always pack twice as many clothes as I need, GenCon's even worse!! When I pack, there will be a small suitcase for Adam, a large or medium one for me, possibly more, then either a suitcase or bag for shoes, and that's just clothing! This year we have my laptop too, so that's an extra bag.. darn widescreen not fitting in standard cases and needing its own...

    3 pairs of shorts

    3 t-shirts

    Undergarments

    A hawaiian shirt

    A pair of jeans

    Dice

    Players Handbook

    Water Bottle

    Done

(Of course I always pick up a few t-shirts at GenCon, too.  And that doesn't count what I'm wearing the day I drive up)

And that's it and that's the only thing I need, is this.

Just this ashtray. And this paddle game, the ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need. And this remote control.

The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need. And these matches.

The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control and the paddle ball. And this lamp.

The ashtray, this paddle game and the remote control and the lamp and that's all I need. And that's all I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one - I need this.

The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches, for sure. And this. And that's all I need. The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair.

Please don't anthropomorphize computers, they don't like it when you do that.

I am glad to hear the convention center is cold.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it "cold," but comfortable would work - that is, until you get into the exhibit hall. You can expect it to get pretty warm in there, especially on Saturdays when the crowd picks up. It's not unbearable, but I guess that just depends on your own chemistry and whether or not you get hot easy (like myself).

    Hahahaah I love that scene.

I've already shipped my cosplay stuff ahead of me so I won't have to hassle with it in the airport.

    "What's that?"

"My lightsaber. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. Or that handgun you're pointing at me."

Everything else is largely replaceable if I forget something. Still, I might start packing the rest now...

Quote from Dragons of the Dwarven Depths, p259 ... Tas and Tanis talking after Tas says a prayer for the massacred Gully Dwarves.
"It was good of you to think of that," said Tanis. "None of the rest of us did."
"You're busy thinking big things," said Tas. "I keep track of the small stuff."
