Greetings! I joined the forum because I had to look into this.

Early this week, I downloaded the Saturday events. I was absolutely DELIGHTED to see that Ouran Host Club would be shown on Saturday. I love it to bits. Then I saw that Darker Than Black would be shown as well, and I was doubly delighted.

However, now I've downloaded the schedule again, and both of them are off. And I am doubly disappointed

Can they be brought back, please? And if possible, can they be brought back at non-conflicting times?

 

Sadly, my schedule was originally put together before both Anime Expo and Otakon, so licensing announcements made there required me to pull some fansubs I'd originally been planning to show. Sorry

If it's any consolation, FUNimation has licensed both of those shows and will have a big presence at Gen Con, so you'll want to make sure to pop into their panels and demand some details on their release plans.

Ahh, okay. That makes sense. I definitely understand the conflict there. And I'll also definitely try to squeeze into a FUNimation panel discussion to ask about Ouran and DTB. Thanks for the tip.

You don't happen to be looking for other fansubs to replace Ouran and DTB, do you? 'Cause I could mention one or two that I'm reasonably sure are unlicensed. In particular, I think Zombie-Loan would get some positive response; dark and creepy with an added dash of morbid humor and unexpected chibiness. And I JUST discovered Busou Renkin, which is clearly the love child of Fullmetal Alchemist and Bleach.

If it's too late to add more, I understand. Don't mind me -- just an anime nut passing through. ;)
