A suggestion for everyone that would like to attend this event.  It is free but has tickets available.  If you are waiting in line sometine during the con to get other event tickets, add a ticket to this event.

Last year, the nice folks checking ID's at the event asked for all ticket holders to go to the front of the line.  You can get in without an official "free" ticket but the line could be long.  Get that free ticket and guarantee your spot in the madness that is Hentai Dubbing

And wouldn't you know it? My overprepared side already had this on the list of tickets to get. Whether I end up going or not is another thing entirely. lol

I'm really liking this "group of forumites" idea.

Thanks for the heads up!  I am planning on picking up my ticket first thing on Thursday since I missed the reg. deadline.

This should be interesting.  Just watching regular Henai usually gives me the giggles..this might well make me wet myself. EEK!!

Especially since I've never actually watched a hentai, so you'll be able to laugh your head off at me as well. And while I'm not a modest person when it comes to conversation and the like, I am an easily amused person, and get pretty giggly that late at night during normal situations (or basically when I get tired) - so yeah, be sure to go to the bathroom beforehand. HAHA

Brandy, I have only seen a few hentai and never all the way through so I am looking forward to whatever they have to offer.  Modesty comes and goes with me but I know I will enjoy the show.

Last year we had to present our IDs at the door.  At that time, the checkers did two things: they made a mark across the back of our hand to show that we were at least 18 (to get in the door) and another one if we were 21 (able to purchase drinks at the cash bar).  So those of us who were at least 21 ended up with what looked like an X on the back of our hand.  You had to have that X  instead of a \ to get a drink.  I can't remember specifically the prices, but I do remember the cash bar prices for everything were really high at Gen Con last year.  Anybody remember from The Stink (of course, that was a different hotel, but still...).

Yup, there will be a bar again with the same basic set-up as last year.

I don't have a drink or price list, though - that's something set by the hotel themselves. If you want something specific, you could try letting the Westin know and maybe they'll bring it. I'm not sure if they take requests

Is there anybody considering having a room party to continue the festivities of the Hentai Dubbing event?

I personally don't have a room, and my girlfriend and I were probably just going to make the hour-long drive back home after Hentai Dubbing, but if someone has any partying plans after, then we'd be more than happy to join .

Line extending all around the floor of the Westin?  Check

Room temperature hotter than hell? Check

Dick Tripwire’s hair just as fantastic as ever? Check

No shortage of volunteers to do the dubbing, and the number of women in attendance just keeps growing and growing.  Loved the guy in the banana suit and the guy who used the Yoda voice. 

We did learn that Dick Tripwire reads this forum!! WOOHOO!  Hi Dick!  And yes, my son and daughter did attend the event this year—the family that watches porn together stays together, right?  They didn’t want to sit by me, and they didn’t precisely—they were two people down!! MWHAHAHAHA (cackles evilly)!  Thanks to Eindar for sitting next to me, although it is true that I wouldn’t have been alone even if he hadn’t—the room was completely packed.

The “how to” spoof video in the beginning is still one of the funniest ones in the event.  I was happy to see some new video scenes this year, but once again, Dick insisted on “traditional casting” which I totally disagree with!  I think it would be even funnier to see guys reading the female role and girls reading the male role.  And I was as disappointed AS EVER to see that there was no guy-on-guy action in any of the videos.  Come on, Dick! Get with the times!  Yaoi is becoming very popular in the U.S. and will totally increase your female attendance!

Glad to hear the event went well.  I keep reading this thread and it does sound like a blast to watch.

I am just a bit curious though...did anyone actually "hang out with their wang out" as the official Gen Con Program guide suggested?
