New High Score: 11,430,099. Also some playing tips ....

Had a few days off. Wheee! Dragon Hoard rocks.

Sorry, should have copied my items list and posted it here.

     Some tips on playing:

     - Knock off the bigger items asap. As they're sinking into the bag of holding, try to uncover the next big item, especially one that's easily uncovered.

    - Try to time the drops into the bag of holding so that you always have something sinking in. The bag should always be busy.

    - For faster clearing, use both the keyboard and mouse as fast as you can. You'll see those gold pieces fly off.

    - Always keep a finger on the shift button (release item back to the hoard) in case you accidentally pick up a big item and the previous item is still busy sinking in to the bag. You can waste valuable seconds waiting for it to drop that you can otherwise spend uncovering gold pieces.

    - Try to keep at least one party member alive. Once they're all gone, your own health (Rick's) drops much faster than your party members and you'll only have a brief time to clean up the last few pieces.

    - Don't waste the more powerful health potions, such as the purple ones, on members that only have a little damage. Get as much value for the potions as you can. When first starting a game, I don't even begin to heal the party until they take a lot of damage, I use that time to uncover as much of the hoard as possible.

    - A bit of a cheat, although not really. To give yourself some time to view the hoard and plan your next move, click on "No place like home", but don't click "Yes". This will freeze the game until you click "No" to resume.

     Happy hunting!

    PULL MY FINGER!!!!!

That game is serious clicky-crack. Not so easy to play on a laptop with touchpad.

What? You think I actually pay attention to the items I get?

There is a huge variety in the drops because I can get over a mil with no effort one time, then last night I swear I cleared over half the board with 3 golds, and still didn't break 1 mil.

You get the Dragon's ATM card when you completely clean out the ENTIRE HORDE.  I've done it once, and still didn't make the high score list.

I think you may also have to be a registered user and logged in to get the ATM card (again like Sojourn said only once you clear the hoard, it's always the very last piece), or, they recently changed the game to add it. Before I registered I had cleared out the hoard a few times and never saw the ATM card. Worth a big 3M btw.

To get the higher scores, you need a hoard that contains a lot of gold items. The big hockey mask items seem to be worth the most, between 1M - 3M. The medium size gem I think is also another 3M. I'd say only 1 out of every 10 hoards contains enough bling to rank 6M and up. That combined with a lot of health potions to keep your party breathing until the end.

Sorry for clogging up the high scores btw :-P  Was the first time in a while I had a few days off. Good mindless distraction. Have my mouse finger in a splint.
