Wednesday Night Cthullu Larp was amazing. First larp for me ever and I was thrown into the deep end as a Young Adolf Hitler! I seemed to amuse people. Great fun.

Hitler, I hear you did a great job.  I wish I could have seen it, but I was in the other room for most of the game.  For the record, Judas should have said, "Heil Hitler!"  Not, "Hey Hitler."

The interaction of Hitler, Elvis and Judas almost cracked me up as I was playing my character. You guys were great!

I particulary enjoyed the part when Hitler was being held hostage at one point. Alot of fun!

I think I did enjoy most the way Judas thought about offering himself as sacrifice

Judas offering himself up was one of the few things that went exactly as we expected.  I love it when a plan comes together.

 

On another note, we already have some ideas for next year's LARP.  It will probably come to a vote sometime soon.  So all of you GCUN members go check out the LARP thread on our website and give your two cents in the "pending items" forum.

There is a poll under GenCon 09 on the GCUN webpage asking which LARP setting you would most like to see.  All GCUN members please cast your vote.

Nope, haven't heard anything.  But, since I only know you guys and no one else on the forums, I'm not the one to ask.  Just kidding.

Noir, what is your new avatar?  With my teeny tiny screen, I can't quite make it out.

Is there anyway to get a copy of the group photo?  I gotta have a copy just so I can show my friends here my new friends there....and ELVIS!  Everything goes better with Elvis.

 The avatar is supposed to be an animated one of zombie hands at a window..... if I am lucky I will figure out how to make it work.....

Haven't heard of group status either. Solitude sent me a PM last week mentioning that there seemed to be support from other moderators, so I guess it's a matter of time.

Solitude (& other mods), is there something else we can do to help this along?

Great picture of the After-LARP fun, I'll be uploading a bunch of pictures, I hope I can do it this weekend, but things are really busy for me.

I also wanted to give a heads up to fellow GCUNers, that for the following 2 weeks I'll be posting very little (specially for the LARP writers) due to all the work that accumulated during my vacations and to a couple of new projects I'm leading. This is an exciting time, but unfortunately a very busy time for me. I'll still be checking daily this thread and the LARP forums, but dedicating a lot of time into writing will be very hard for the next couple of weeks.

I've a question for you guys, what kind of meetings / dinner / games / stuff  would you like to do next year ?

I ask because this year we did far less things together vs last year, and you're just to great, so next year I'd like to hang out with you a lot more.

If (when) we get group status, I'd like to set up a thread to plan our activities, but for the moment, we can start planning here. Remember, its never too early to plan for next Gen Con !!

I agree.  I saw far too little of all of you this year.  I think we should have one RPG run just for us and have at least one boardgame just for us.  I'll be happy to bring the boardgame - my first thought is Circus Imperium.  As for the RPG, I bet we could get someone to run one for the group (if it's not too big).

 I have an idea for our LARP next year... I will post it to the UN forum!

Ah, I so love the social stuff!!!  If we do another Wednesday night LARP I would love to do a dinner Thursday evening to sit down and enjoy each others company and talk about how great the LARP went *S* .  Drinks after the LARP would be fun as well.  I am HOPING to get into an attached hotel this year and I would love to host a party there just for the hell of it!! 

Hey Robin, Just in case you didn't see this on the GCUN LARP site, please submit your idea for next year's larp anyway.  We're still in the early stages and the research done was stuff I looked up while sitting in a hotel room. 

I wanna hear your idea.

Also, I got an email about the Gen Con United Nations group here on the forums.  How do we go about this?  Who is in charge?

Since Alex hasn't been around for a while (is he okay? does anyone know?) I vote Matt.  Hector has his hands full with LARP writing, so I vote MATT!
