Gen Con Forums Server to be temporarily taken down for maintenance on Tuesday, March 4^th from 9 am to 6 pm PST!!!

Next Tuesday, March 4^th the server that hosts the Community Forums for Gen Con, Spectromancer and Dragon Hoard will be taken down for maintenance.  We will be moving the server to the data center where our other servers reside.  We apologize for the short notice, but this move is to support the next version of Spectromancer, to provide greater protection against power-outages and to provide more secure channels between the Community Server and Spectromancer server.

At 9AM PST on March 4^th we will be taking the forums server down for about 9 hours.  We plan on bringing the forums back online by 6PM PST that afternoon.  During this ‘blackout’ period all traffic to community.gencon.com will be redirected to a status page.  If, for some unexpected reason the relaunch is delayed, we will post the status on this page.

Once we take the forums down at 9AM PST, the server will be moved to the data center.  Since this is a physical move of the server and not a software change, the community should not notice any major changes to their community experience when the server is brought back online.  We expect this move to take approximate 9 hours.  We intend to bring the server back online at 6PM PST.
