Frank, if you let let me play Ashley, I will make it an unforgetable game, I promise.

Well, of course, you'll play Ash Bubba! I'm looking forward to an unforgettable game!

My schedule will probably keep me out of anything you're running at gencon this year... are you guys doing anything at Origins?

Unfortunately, not this year Rbree.  But, at our annual shareholders meeting, which is held at the Ram on Wed before Gencon, we will likely discuss Origins next year.

Wow Bubba, you are really excited about Frank's game.  I will let you in on another secret he has planned...SMOG MACHINE....

Anyway, Frank, with Bubba playing...won't it be nice to have someone NOT walk into the swirling vortex this year?  Sounds like the session he is in is the one I want to play.

RE food and drink at Union Station, last year there was a cool bar in the basement. Is it not there, usually? It was /very/ nifty. I don't know if it had snacks, but it did have drinks.

    A bar?!

Well, that's the best news yet! The place can't be -too- bad if it has a bar...

That MIGHT have been a secret spy bar associated with the Guardian 6 game, but anyone could attend.  I'm not sure if they are doing that bar again this year.  But I may have already said too much! :)

Great, now she has to kill us.  Can't I just go one day without someone having to kill me?

Re: M.U. Skulls (mostly) back at Gencon '08

A quick FYI for friends of MU Skull Mike, he won't be able to make it to Gen Con this year or any future game conventions.

For those folks that know Mike, he has been having some challenges physically and convention attendance is no longer a possibility. It is with great regret that Mike retires from active MU Skulls field work. He remains engaged in MU Skulls antiquarian research however, and you can look forward to Mike inspired adventures at the convention.

The M.U. Skulls And The Fiery Death

Please note that my MU Skulls game will have the greatest fiery ending of any of the MU Skulls games and most likely any of the Call of Cthulhu games.

I would go on to say any of the games at the convention but there is always someone destroying the universe somewhere, though that just might happen too...

Re: The M.U. Skulls And The Fiery Death

I just double checked... I'm in RPG959 Crusaders vs Army of Darkness.... it looked really interesting. Does this mean I get to game with the Grand Poobah, Bubba? (would that be Grand PooBubba?)

Quote from Dragons of the Dwarven Depths, p259 ... Tas talking to Tanis after saying a prayer for the Gully Dwarves.
"It was good of you to think of that," said Tanis. "None of the rest of us did."
"You're busy thinking big things," said Tas. "I keep track of the small stuff."

MU Skulls' Director Mike is hard at work as he uncovers the latest information on Aztec artifacts:

With the convention only a few weeks away, the Skulls are feverishly putting the final touches on this year's games!  You might browse through the newly designed (still in progress) website to obtain a special advantage in some of the games!  Yes, you can actually walk into the game with an advantage over the other players!  What that might be, however, will remain a mystery until game time.  This and other secrets are sure to follow so keep watching the site and we'll see you soon!

Re: M.U. Skulls back at Gencon '08 + Prize Support!

    Great news!

Chaosium sent us prize support! The number one prize for a Skulls game this year will be a RULEBOOK! This is the best prize we've received to date! If you're new to the game and like what you've played, then you've also learned enough from playing our game to run your own and absolutely everything you need to run your own game is in this one book! Fantastico!

....If you already have a rulebook and prefer something else, we can probably help you out....

Crusaders vs. An Army of Darkness

I present for your interest a list of some of the PCs for those that have tickets to one of the two Crusaders vs. An Army of Darkness games. If you don't have tickets, stop by the game and just maybe there will be a spare PC or two...

Feel free to express an interest for someone in particular:

Ashley J. Williams- the clerk in housewares at S-Mart that ran afoul of an ancient Sumerian book (Bubba called this one in a prior post)

Lord Arthur- The Lord Governor of Southern Jerusalem

Wiseman John- Lord Arthur's current counselor

Ralph- A hermit Christian that has been called by The Lord to save people from a great Evil

Shebari Durasevic- A young lady of many talents traveling south to meet her brother

Satish Doshi- A simple merchant seeking a new sandalwood trade route to India

Burgwulf Ackmann- A young man seeking action and adventure

By God let's give them what for!

Chaosium rocks!  I heard they're not even going to be at Gen Con this year, and they're still sending rulebooks!  That's the best prize a company could provide!  What do I have to do to get one?  ;-)
