I dunno exactly - Rennie's actually working on the cycle 1 miniatures events - but it should be "soon."

Re: event catalog update - cycle 1 LRP & BGM added

I also noticed no Wednesday events (including the ever-so-cool Gen Con United Nations: Call of Cthulhu LARP) are not up. I think I read somewhere that those would probably be the very last to be added. Any idea on when I should see those?

I don't mean to put pressure on anyone (you're doing a great job, Derek !) but I just want to make sure our event makes the cut

Re: event catalog update - cycle 1 LRP & BGM added

The Wednesday event program is something I love, but it'll have to be ironed out after all the events over the core 4 days of the show. It's really hard to give any kind of hard timeline on when that will happen.

If anyone is concerned about the status of their events, just sign into your account and check there. If it's "pending event review" then we haven't looked at it. If it's "accepted for consideration" then it looked fine but we haven't been able to confirm space for it yet. If there was a problem, it would be "returend for correction" or "rejected."

I can't promise that we'll get back to every event submission within a week or whatever - but we're going through them as quickly as we can and everyone should be getting a response much, much earlier this year than they have in the past.

You Da Man... This was easily one of the easiest searches available last year. I recommended it to several people even while at the con. A couple guys were searching through the listings in the book while in the True Tavern. They had their laptop open, so I directed them towards this site. Their life suddenly became much more carefree.

Quote from Dragons of the Dwarven Depths, p259 ... Tas and Tanis talking after Tas says a prayer for the massacred Gully Dwarves.
"It was good of you to think of that," said Tanis. "None of the rest of us did."
"You're busy thinking big things," said Tas. "I keep track of the small stuff."

There's no RPGA or Blackmoor events? Are you adding these? :)

Re: event catalog update - cycle 1 LRP & BGM added

We're adding things as we go through them - if something isn't listed yet it means either:

    1. We haven't placed it yet (probably because it was submitted in a later cycle if other events of the same type are listed)

      or

    2. It hasn't been submitted at all.

Re: event catalog update - cycle 1 LRP & BGM added

Again, NOT A COMPLETE LIST!!!!  If you look a few posts above, you can see that Derek states that Rennie is working on those mini events.

Guys, Derek and the Gen Con staff have done a great job this year making as many events as they possibly can available in the system as soon as they can.  BUT as they've said numerous times, it's not a complete list at all, and you won't get a close to complete list until a week before event reg, just like we do every year.  Honestly at this point, with so many people complaining that certain events aren't in the system yet, and with the numerous questions Staff has had to field from people wondering where their events are, I'm almost thinking they'd be better off going back to the old system where we don't see any events until the week before event reg.

Please be patient and realize that your event may not appear until a week before event reg opens.

    Bubba Ho-Tep:

So the week before is the drop dead date for the list then?

I'm not sure what you mean by drop dead date.  The list that is put out about a week before event reg comes out will be as complete as possible.  I'm sure there will be scraggler events that were submitted very late that won't be in that list; there may also be events that were returned for correction or something that weren't corrected in time either.  In addition, I'm sure there will be some events submitted after event reg goes live even, that obviously therefore won't go into the system until after event reg starts; that always happens as well.  So if you mean, is it possible that there will be changes/additions to the list after that date, yes I can virtually guarantee there will be.

If you mean is that the drop dead date for submitting events such that they will be on the list, no, that was March 31st.  While some late submitted events may be accepted by Gen Con, and MAY make it on that event list before event reg starts, they certainly aren't guaranteed to be accepted, nor can someone expect late submitted events to be ready in time for event reg.  March 31st was the drop dead date for that.  Speaking for myself, for any SPA events submitted after the deadline, I'll do my best to get them ready in time for event reg, but if you missed the deadline, I can't guarantee those events will be on the list when event reg goes live; I have to review, correct if necessary, and place, all events that were submitted BEFORE the submission deadline before I even look at the late submitted events.
