    Holy Guard and Madness

    While playing in campaign mode, computer placed Holy Guards next to the Marching Stone. When I played Madness, damage was recorded on the Holy Guards correctly, but Marching Stones would gain 2 life if a single Holy Guard was next to them or 4 life if there were Holy Guards on both sides. 

     3/30/08. Playing Beta v0.3

     

    In Duel mode. Played Spectral Mage. One creature next to Holy Guard which had a casting cost of 1 gained a life point. Should be zero. Same type of bug as above.

    I've found the same thing, but took it to be a newly-implemented feature. I've found this to happen in other cases, e.g. forest sprites hitting creatures next to holy guards. I think the idea is that the creature takes 1dmg, -2 = -1dmg i.e. 1 healing. You should see this behaviour replicated consistently in all such cases, making the holy guard a little more useful (especially in the cases mentioned).

    This said, it may well be a bug - can we get clarification on this?

    I notice now that its only the graphic that shows the health of the creature is growing, but the life counter doesn't go up. This may be the same as a previously reported bug.

    I experienced the same issue - I put down a Spectral Mage, who should have done 1 damage to a Paladin.  But since the Paladin was next to a Holy Guard, it gained one health instead.
