Got another GM email for y'all:
It’s almost time - event registration opens on the morning
of Sunday, April 20th!
There are still a few days before then, however, so please
take a moment to sign in and review your events to make sure that everything is
in order before attendees begin buying tickets.
Sign in at http://registration.gencon.com
and click on “View Your Active Events” to make sure that the price, time and everything
else is correct. For most events, you can also review the location and make
sure that your event was placed properly.
The final big status and location updates are being uploaded
now, so your events should listed there – but if something seems to be missing,
go back and click on “Submit and/or Manage Events,” the same page you used to
submit your events. You can review all your events that have not yet been
marked as active here. If it is listed as “Accepted for Consideration” and you submitted it before April 1st,
then you should be fine and it will be active (and viewable by attendees)
shortly. If you have any events listed under “Returned for Correction,”
however, you will need to make the necessary changes and re-submit the events.
Please do take this time to review your events and make sure
that any needed changes are made before
Sunday.
If you have any questions or problems, please let me know.
Seriously, this ain't no joke, btw - I strongly encourage everyone to double-check their events within the next few days. If your stuff is Active or Accepted for Consideration, you should be fine - just make sure the prices, times and maximum players (and special requests) are correct.
Never hurts to double-check, and the earlier we find and fix problems, the better. Changing times or prices after people have bought tickets to your event is a Bad Thing that I Do Not Like.
As always, lemme know if anyone has any questions.
