Isle of Misfit Events - Instant Game Show conflicting with scheduled events

I am unable to put Instant Game Show (ZED 000016) in my cart.  It says it conflicts with other events already in my cart.   But, it should be acting as a generic ticket or non-scheduled event so there should be no conflict.

I know tickets really aren't that important for this, but I thoughtsomeone should know.

    Thanks

Re: Isle of Misfit Events - Instant Game Show conflicting with scheduled events

    Derek,

Thanks for the quick reply and hard work today.

Now I am getting the error that the event registration for "Instant Game Show" will not open until September 1, 2008.  I also got this error when attempting to reserve tickets for the Ingenious Tournament (BGM000714).

Is this something that will not open until later, or a bug of some kind?

    Thanks again.

If an event has a "reg start" date of September 1st, it means that tickets aren't supposed to be sold for it. It's just there as a place-holder, basically, just to let you know it's happening.

This is usually for advancement rounds in tournaments where you can't just buy a ticket - you need to have passed a previous round or event before you can enter that one.

The ZED event appears to be just a general announcement - you don't buy tickets, it's just there to let you know it's happening. The BGM event was submitted as an advancement round - I don't know if it was supposed to be closed to registration, but that's how it was submitted. You might want to drop a note to Fantasy Flight games to check with them. Unfortunately they didn't list an email address with the event to contact if you have questions.

Thanks, Derek, that explains why the Veneta (sp?) tournament was giving me fits.  I eventually gave up on it and plugged something else into that time...
