    Buy parking in advance?

I live within driving distance of GenCon, but last time I get there early all the parking was already gone. When we finally found a meter we were many blocks from the convention center.

Anyone got any tips on how to acquire parking near the convention center in advance? Obviously I'm not looking for free parking.

    Thanks!

Or better yet, get there earily

Well, at least one parking space should already be taken.

I got a room 7 miles away, booked late, and was wondering about parking. I don't really want a meter since that needs coins through out the day. Is there a mall close with free parking? Is there a place we can pay to park that is close and safe? If so any idea how much? Thanks

    I'd check out this website:

My suggestion is to have more than one parking option in mind.  Not only is there the usual, everyday, Indianapolis commuters to consider, but also the convention attendees, and then on Saturday they're having that open house at the new football stadium just down the street from the convention center!Ick!

    Parking Clarification!

Does anyone know for sure if it's okay to park in the Mall parking overnight? Or for the whole four days? I remember parking there sporadically in years past, but never over night.

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Parking Clarification!

Certain parts of the mall have overnight parking and certain parts don't.  There are signs but sometimes these can't be seen until you've actually started to pull into the lots so you need to pay attention or ask at the booths.

We've parked at the mall the last 2 years and left the car from Wed-Sun with no problems.

    Thanks in advance!

One year the garage of the hotel I was staying at was full, so they had me park in the mall garage for five days. I was paranoid someone would try to break into my car or steal it, so I checked on it at least once each day. I "lost" the parking ticket and for five days I paid the maximum amount they charge if you lose your ticket - one day.

What is the name of the mall you can park at? That might be a great option for me, thanks so much if you can post that info. Thanks Hendal

    Re: Parking Clarification!

At the Circle Centre Mall, it's the World Wonders garage that is 24 hours.   If I'm remembering correctly, the entrance is close to Steak and Shake.

There are 2 other mall garages - Sun and Moon - neither is 24 hours though one is open fairly late.
