    KFG Member Application, v3.0

Want to become a member of the KFG?  You've come to the right place.

What is the KFG?  Glad you asked - we are the #1 redneck community in the Gencon Forums.  Our primary purpose is to have fun.  Oh, and we run some great events on Tuesday and Wednesday before GenCon.

Post your redneck qualifications in this thread.  Outrageous redneck stories may require additional information, supporting photos, or copies of citations.  Examples of admission criteria include, but is not limited to:

    1. You live in Kentucky.

    2. You have relatives that live in Kentucky.

    3. You drink Ale-8 on a regular basis.

    4. You have redneck qualities.

    5. You must have at least 10 posts on the Gen Con Forums (these are forum rules, not the KFG's).

If your application is approved, pick out a redneck nickname and either PM Bubba Ho-Tep your e-mail address or post it in the e-mail thread in the KFG Outhouse section.  You should have access to the super-secret KFG Outhouse when the little KFG icon appears under your avatar if the forum software is cooperating.

The KFG now have forums! Hide your youngin's.

    Re: KFG Member Application, v3.0

Hmm might as well give this a shot. Here goes.

    1. I do live in Kentucky. I was born in Bowling Green in 1978.

    2. I have relatives in Kentucky. Tennessee as well.

    3. I drink Ale-8 one every now and then. Not as much as I'd like due to the caffeine. Last time I drank it I had heart palpitations LOL

    4. I guess I do have some redneck qualities, such as the Southern accent..to a point anyway. I've lived in the country before for about 8 years. Most of my family lives in the country or in the middle of nowhere. I've attended various county fairs, saw demolition derby's, people racing their cars in the dirt, etc. Not sure if that would count, though lmao. I love Southern food, though it can be bad for me. And, I really can't think of anything else.

    5. I'm pretty sure I have more than 10 posts by now hehe.

    1. Only about 8 hours north of Kentucky, pretty darn close.

    2. Nope.

    3. I guzzle Busch Light and Corby's whiskey.

    4.  I chew Skoal like it is going out of style.  I am surrounded by towns named Buckley and Mesick, and have RPG'ed in some of the finest roofed trailers in these burgs.

    5.  Easily over 10.

My new current goal is to be present for Gencon 75, without missing one in between.

Sounds like you folks have lots of fun so what the hey I'll give it a shot. :)
1.) I don't live in Kentucky, however i live in a small town in Ohio named Urbana that is referred to locally as Urbantucky. I'm pretty sure we have more tractors in this town then people. We also have a vending machine that sells live bait.
2.) I do have relatives that live in Kentucky, in fact a good chunk of my father's side either still lives in Paintsville Kentucky, or around Lexington.
3.) Once, it mixed well with bourbon. :)
4.) Let's see... "Watch this y'all" has been said far too many times at family functions, right before someone ends up needing to go to the emergency room. My late grandmother had a recipe for squirrel. What else...my grandfather was a coal miner his entire life. Oh and my father was actually a member of the Hnorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. This is just things off the top of my head, the full list would probably overload the forums.
5.) I think I do? Not sure, I don't post much but I'm trying to get better about that.
    Thanks!

    1.  I do not live in Kentucky.  I did live in Evansville, IN for a while though and I went over the border quite often.

    2. I also do not have relatives in Kentucky.  However, I do have an Uncle in Knoxville TN, and cousins in North Carolina.. my Momma's people are from Gate City, VA and she grew up in a house with dirt floors.

    3. Never heard of the stuff but I'll wash down a moon pie with an RC when it's offered and I could make you fried chicken and a mess of green beans, soup beans n' corn bread,  biscuits n' gravy, or a fine fried spam sandwich that would make any redneck feel right Christian about themselves.

    4. Redneck qualities.. my middle name is Lee, I's kin to June Carter, I love grits, I can walk barefoot through snow, I know what olio is, I've used wooden outhouse, I know how to get moonshine, and I think bench seats in a vehicle are romantic.

    5. Only 11 posts so far.. I don't talk much. ;P

And there I go: Rhodie, Rhode Lee, Love Street, Heather Lee, me.

    1. I live in Toledo, OH, but unfortunately I do not live on the East Side of the city.

    2. Nopers, but I have a friend who is a Kentucky Colonel, does that count?

    3. What is Ale-8? Is that the same as Hamms?

    4. The political correctness of my office teaches us to say 'You all' when referring to group of men and women instead of 'you guys'...I can start saying Y'all! Also, my cousin recently had a combination summer picnic/wedding reception, that has to count for something.

    5. I have plenty of posts me thinks.

    Thanks for your consideration.

I've put this off for far too long...Here's my app!

    1. Don't live in Kentucky, although I've been there many a time, and regularly use the word "ya'll."

    2. I have fulfilled my share of "You might be a redneck" qualifications, including (but certainly not limited to) "owning a complete set of tupperware with "Cool Whip" written on the side," and "having a working TV sitting on top of a non-working TV."

    3. I have always lived in some form of mobile home. Up until four years ago, it was a singlewide trailer, but in 2004 we upgraded to a double-wide (livin' the high life now, yes siree).

    4. When I was growing up, my friends and I would have regular kickball and baseball games in an empty trailer park lot (see my above about always living in a trailer), and would use the cement trailer supports, exposed underground pipes, etc. as bases.

    5. WAY more than 10 posts by now...

So, do I make the cut?!
