Re: Two Tales of Cthulhu Mansion, Wednesday Game

    Hello,

My gf and I are coming in Wednesday and are fans of Lovecraft (and horror in general). We're thinking of trying our hand at this, if there's room. We're both new to rpg's (well she's never played and the last time I did anything like this was AD&D about twenty years ago). Any chance there's room for us in something? Being new, we wouldn't mind (and probably would prefer) one of the shorter scenarios (if that's what they're called) instead of a 5+ hour deal.

    Cheers,

    Elliot

My wife and I are in a similar boat.   We are avid games but have never played Cthulu....  We should find a GM and make it a double date  :)

Sounds like a good idea, for us four anyway. Perhaps they'll be willing to run a newbie game...we're game.

     Cheers,

    Elliot

For those you who are Call of Cthulhu novices, I suggest you stop by the Chaosium website and grab a copy of Quick-Start Cthulhu (URL below, since the forum software doesn't seem willing to attach a link to the text). I've run my haunted house scenario for veterans and novices alike, so there should be no problem accepting anyone. I am aiming for six to eight players for the game, but have twelve pre-gen characters just in case.

I'll be running a pick-up Cthulhu adventure Wed night, starting at 8pm at the Hyatt open gaming area. My games are very rules-lite. I have a 2 hr and a 3hr game, so I'll let the players decide when we get there. Look for the Cthulhu box and GM's screen.

Hola to the new couples. As you can see there is more than a couple GM's willing to run CoC this Wednnesday. Though my tabletop seems filled, I hope to meet you as well.

Look for the Cthulhu stuff and GM's screen. I'll wear a shirt that either has a clockwork dude on it or a cartoonish female cosmonaut. Won't have a nametag yet, so just keep your eyes open.

Our group just got in so unfortunately it doesn't look like we'll make it by 8. Sorry. Have fun!

     Matt,

Your game was so fun!   We had a small jet with propellers on the ride home.  Couldn't help but think I was on that zepplin!  Thanks!

Hey, glad you liked it.  You guys did great.  I had never run the game for Cthulhu novices or first-time roleplayers. I had fun, too! Maybe next year I will run Chapter 2: "The Miskatonic 4 and the Lost World."

    Thanks,
    Matt
