    Screening the new Evangelion movie

I'm pretty excited about this news, so I wanted to let everyone know that (thanks to FUNimation's genorisity working with us) we will be able to screen the new Evangelion movie (Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 - Anime News Network, Wikipedia) at Gen Con this year.

It's scheduled for 10 pm on Saturday, so if you aren't going to Hentai Dubbing, you better be there.

Man, that's tempting. But I missed the Hentai Dubbing last year I was there, and I just don't want to miss it a second time. Oh, to be two places at the same time...

Re: Screening the new Evangelion movie

Can I get a clarification as to how the tickets for anime events is going to work this year? In previous years it seems that the anime rooms (other than the Hentai Dubbing event) were first come, first serve with there always being room for folks to sit. The lines for the Hentai Dubbing event were always too long, and the topic a little out there for me, but after going to 6 Gen Cons, and with the tickets I figured I'd give it a go, so I got my ticket.

     1. Does having a ticket for the Hentai Dubbing guarantee that I'll be able to get a seat into the Hentai Dubbing event?

    2. Will tickets be required for all of the other anime events? Previous years I'd do a lot of wandering between rooms in between games to catch an episode of this or that series so that I'd have an idea of what anime series to follow up on.

    3. Now that I see that Evangelion 1.00 will be screening at GenCon I think I'd rather go to that, and go to Hentai Dubbing another year. To get a ticket for Eva 1.00 do I need to get rid of my Hentai Dubbing ticket?

     Thanks in advance!

Tickets for anime events work like tickets for any other event - getting one will guarantee you a spot and after ticket holders are seated, everyone else is first-come, first-serve.

Tickets to block out your schedule as well, so if you have a ticket to Hentai Dubbing, you can't book Evangelion as well. You'll need to wait until you get on site to get a ticket to it anyway, actually.

Well I don't know how new it is anymore, as the 2nd movie just came out in Japan a month ago, but it's relatively new to the US still at least ;) Good to see though, it's a good movie and all 3 showings at Otakon this year had really high turnout.

Seeing as how it's only just come out in the US, I'm gonna count it as brand-spankin'-new Smile
