I generally have my schedule memorized and use the tickets for table/room numbers and reminders. When I'm running games I also bring a printout of my schedule from the spreadsheet I used for registration.

Oh, something a friend of mine does is print maps of the halls and has a code that he places on the maps: T08-xxxxxxxx meaning Thursday @ 8, ticket X in that location!  He then will have a route to the next event planned.

I have tix sorted by time and date in my badge holder, but this year I'm putting everything really important to me in my phone calendar with alerts 30 min before each of them.

I don't know why I haven't done this in years past; I live and die by my phone alerts at work all year.

The offline catalog from David Wolfe allows you to output events you're in to vcs format, which can be loaded into your computer calendar. I loaded them into iCal on my mac, which is synced to Google so my friends know where I am, and to my iPhone. I'd be more likely to lose a piece of paper than my phone, since I think my iPhone is welded to my hand.

there is only one thing that would keep me away from my events and since this board is PG-13 I can say no more.

so far I have never missed an event is purchased.  I have had to turn some back in but, never missed an event yet.

I admit it... I'm guilty of that one, lol.  (which brings us back to the "whats in your backpack?" thread)

But I've also missed events for other reasons too... such as I was enjoying company of friends more than the game would have meant to me.  I will choose to continue to hang out with friends and catch up over going to a scheduled game.

Not me. I can get that the other 360 days of the year. When I'm at Gen Con, gaming and gaming related activities take precedence over everything else.

Re: Keeping track of your schedule during the convention

I used a simple Word document with a table in it. I'm printing off 3 copies for myself (1 on person, 1 in luggage, 1 in backpack) and 1 for my wife. No need for complexity.

One of the things I love about windows based phones is the Today screen on it.  I can put all of my events into my calendar through outlook on my computer and it automatically synchs with the phone.  This way at a glance of my phone I can always see my next game or the days events (depending on how I decide I want it to display) without even going into my calendar.

I just look at the next day's events the night before and then just keep it in my head. Of course, if I forget, I can just look at the tickets...

Re: Keeping track of your schedule during the convention

I bought an iphone over the weekend and now I've put my schedule on the calendar program.  I didn't need to but, hey I have the option, I might as well use it.

According to the Gencon page on Facebook, there will be an iPhone app this year!

I go low tech, printed excel sheet and tickets loaded into my badge holder in the order of my events.

    NascragMan:

Personally, my schedule is pretty simple.  Two rounds of Nascrag each day.  Mix in some eating, drinking, and shopping.  A side game or two and I'm done.  I'll keep that in...my head!

That's funny... my schedule is currently somewhat similar: 1 round of Nascrag on Thursday and hopefully two more rounds later. Nothing else is scheduled. I mean technically thats not even scheduled, but I'm not missing that... my brother and I have to reprise our Tara roles from last year. In the last 9 years I have never scheduled an event in advance. this is made a lot easier since CCG's are my primary reason for going :-)

Blackberry Sync and a backup Excel Spreadsheet printed out just in case.

Tickets as as a last resort.... hate to take them out and loose them before I need them!
