When running Pathfinder RPG, I sometimes got a little lazy and didn't feel like stacking on class levels or such to a monster to get it in the right toughness ballpark. Or perhaps I had an in-game spur of the moment idea and needed a quick monster ASAP.
I found that 4E has a lot more flexibility in its monsters, so I did the following to convert them for Pathfinder use.
1. AC stays as is.
2. To get your Fort/Ref/Will saves, shave off 10 from the Fort/Ref/Will defenses.
3. HP... I either kept them at full, or perhaps went 3/4 of maximum.
It seemed to work well at the table, and even when I had some monsters do 4E-style powers, nobody seemed to complain. I never went too overboard with it.
How about you guys, any 4E conversions that you've done like this?
