Gen Con Community

Hi Guys, not sure if Im posing in the right place or not, I dont wanna mess up the way this forum is run and Im still quite new. I only really play DnD on a regular basis but am super interested in Cyber Punk. Would anyone be interested in running a Cyber Punk game? :D

Also interested in a playing a Cyber Punk game.

He has the last several years worth of events in a searchable database, this should give you an idea of what could possibly be offered when they open up the events reg in May. The game Shadowrun is a good place to start if you're into cyber punk.

Black Jack Rackham, I havent even heard of 2020 yet. Will you be at GenCon this year?  I just remeber the old 2010 books lying around the house. I always wanted to give it a go, so hopefull I'll have a chance this year :)

I will be there, from Tues through Sun.  Though, as I mentioned in the KFG forum, I'll be running a truckload of 7th Sea (definitely not cyberpunk-ish).  But that shouldn't deter you.  Feel free to drop on by any of my events.  I promise you'll walk out with a smile on your face!

My living campaign The Heroes of Altamira runs during the con (just search for Heroes of Altamira, you should find 9 events).  I am also running a one-shot game called Beauty-ful Treasures with the KFG on Wed before GenCon.  Sign-ups for that usually go live just after July 4th (since they're not official events).

Hey Mark, what time are you looking at for your Weds game?

Sorry for the threadjack I usually run mine in the afternoon slot 1-4:45 pm @ the Ram.  Beauty-ful Treasures is the sequel to Beauty-ful Dreamers but you don't need to have played the first to enjoy the second.  The first scene will explain it pretty well.

 CP2020 is a great system! I may dive into this one two if someone will run one. This will only be my second year at GenCon, so I am not real comfortable running anything yet...  (Tho I have been asked to run a Genesis game this year already)

FYI, Shadowrun is a fine Cyberpunk game mixed with some fantasy elements (i.e. there are elves and magic and whatnot). There's loads of Shadowrun being played at Gen Con, much of it being sponsored directly by Catalyst Games. I'd say about half of those games end-up being Shadowrun:Missions games, Which is Shadowrun's living campaign system. (I.e. you make one character, and get to play it over multiple games, even with different conventions or gaming-stores.)

Never played Cyber Punk myself. But would definately love to try something new. Man my bucket list of events grows long already for this year.

As far as 7th seas I always like to keep an eye out for it. And can't recommend it enough. Pirates, swashbuckling and adventure. What's not to love. You'll love it Nelly. Embrace your inner pirate... Arrr

CP2020 is an easy system and its a blast! I will try to be there too! 

When we run our CP2020, we really mix the Shadowrun and Cyberpunk worlds.... Shadowpunk.. LOL.. we just use the CP2020 rules. Last year I couldnt get into a beginning Shadowrun game to see how it was.  They filled up fast.
