Not sure, but I have no doubt that if you go to where they are playing, you'll have no problem finding players to play some wee games with.

About Infinity, is it a good game, mechanics wise?  I have been looking at it to day and think it is right up my alley.

I would definitely be up for some wee hours Infinity!

Bubba, Infinity is definitely worth a look. You can download some quick start rules on their web site. Very unique mechanics that fit sci fi skirmish gaming well.

nice i thought there was going to be some infinity events running but after looking through the event list i found none, i am getting the rulebook in a few days and wanted to start playing. It would be at a learning level so feel free to bring whatever you have and we can game.

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

Bubba, at this time I'm a definite maybe on the Wed KFC gaming. We 're arriving Wednesday, just not sure exactly when. We're never organized enough to leave at the actual set time. I did want to check out your event on Wed, so now I have another good reason to try and get there.

Wolf, I've never tried Dark Ages, but have always wanted to as I've always been a big fan of Brom's stuff. I even have the rule book some where, in,what my wife politely refers to as my museum. Will you have enough minis to do a demo?

The biggest problem we'll have with Infinity is terrain. You really need a lot of it and I have very little room in the ride to bring any, must have lots of room in the trunk for purchases. Is anybody going to have any we can use? If push comes to shove I can try and scrounge at Gen Con as I have had some success in the past with this.

As long as the thread is dealing with after hours miniature gaming, here are some of the games I would be interested in playing after hours.

    Warmachine, Hordes and Grind

Infinity (mentioned already, but worth mentioning again)

    Anima Tactics

Cool new miniature games, let's face it, this is Gen Con and there are bound to be a few.

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

I'll have the terrain for my two WWII minis games set up overnight  Wednesday and Thursday.  You guys are welcome to use that as long as you reset it for me when you're done.   Wednesday night will be a Stalingrad set up- Ruins on 2 Sides of the table  a 4 storyapartment house with detailed interior and trenchs on one side... open terrain (about 3 feet) with burned out tanks in the center.   Thursday Night- 3 city blocks of ruins and rubble aroun a town square with a bridge and canal at one end.  All i ask is that you put it bak to match the maps I'll leave- and try not to break anything.  Table will be availble from 6:30 pm to 8am.

I'll post piks around the end of June/beginning of July-

very much appreciated Rbree, i'm sure if we use your terrain i will take a picture beforhand that way we can put it back the way it was.  I also thought scrounging for terrain at the hall wasn't a bad idea as long as we dont damage anything and put it back when we finish gaming.

For Dark Age i have one army right now but im sure my friends will leave their respective armies in my bag, all else fails ill just purchase and bring another one to gencon (yes i use lame excuses for my addiction!).

On new games i never tried, i'm always up for trying out new games if someone has an extra force to demo. maybe on the next day if my wallet isn't bleeding i will buy my own stuff to play around with!

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

Well, it definitely sounds like we have a good start to an informal after hours mini group. Scrounging works well, someone always knows someone, and in the past I've even been able to get a few dealers to loan items in return for handing out their cards and return the item in good order, if there was a problem, I'd purchase the item. There's also I chance I can get a friend or two with some open space in there vehicle to transport some stuff for me. Bringing the family of four eats a lot of space, especially on the way back with purchases. Next vehicle I get will have a trailer hitch!

Rbree, thanks a lot for the terrain use! As mentioned we will take the up most care with your items. Not only that, but I'm now very intrigued about your event. What system are you using?

Cerealkiller, no excuse is every needed to purchase another army or game. Everyone knows that when you get to point where you have no new armies and everything you own is painted, you die!

So far we have Infinity, Dark Ages and maybe some new games. Has anyone heard of anything specific being released yet? I kind of hoping to see Slaughter Gulch or Helldorado (English Version), but have not heard specific release dates on these.

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

    I'll be bringing

    about 500 pts of Warmachine

2 dark age armies -- if anyone wants to play or demo

    about 300 pts of Infinity

maybe some odd AT-43 (plan on buying a bunch in the dealer hall)

@ Bubba -  I'll be concentrating on Dark Age and Infinity at the game shop until the cons are over to get in some practice.  We can set up a day to play/demo.

@ cerealkiller - there is a 200pt Infinity tourney on Friday at 10:00 a.m.  It is hard to find (I think it was listed under historical minis)

Yeah if my schedule permits I may try the tourney. I just recently got back into 40k, so i am still re-learning the rules. I have about 1500 points worth of Chaos, and 1500 points worth of Eldar. I was thinking maybe 750-1000 point game after the stink on wednesday, if you are in town then. And heck if anyone else wants to join please do. I would alson be willing to work around my schedule to fit in some more battles too, if interested.

    Dennis no  problem,

The Tables will be set up and I see no reason not get some use out of them.  The system i'm running is Battle Ground WWII is's an older out of print system but i seem to keep coming back to it..  thoug I have about a half dozen other WWII rules sets.

The two scenarios are Ryan's Last stand -The final battle from Saving pvt Ryan aboy 20 US para's and infantry against a German platoon and a few tanks...

And Last stand in Stalingrad- base on Pavlov's house where a Russian Sgt and 25 men plus a few civialians defended an apt hous for 60 days.

i was interested in joining those games but they were filled before i even signed up!

i will be brining my genestealer cult so either army would be a good match, i dont get in till around 12pm on thursday though but nothing is happening thursday so if you want to get a game or two around 7-9pm? i believe i should be up for some battles.
