    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

Thursday and Friday evenings are good with me. I'll try to squeeze my Cygnar starter box in with the other stuff so we should be able to cover Vilrandir. I'll also have a small Trollblood force and my new Magnus Agenda army. I'm finishing up my Infinity stuff now and several small pieces of loose terrain.

Is any one willing to teach and provide forces for Dark Ages Thursday or Friday? I really want to learn this one.

I've also recently found out that Fantization will be carrying Hell Dorado at Gen Con! You can pre-order for pick up at Gen Con to insure your order. I'll have mine that Thursday morningBig Smile

I just noticed this unofficial Warmachine after hour events on their forums.

    http://forums.privateerpress.com/index.php?showtopic=122962

Hopefully we can get him to join us as it looks interesting.

i have been cross posting this to rezolution/dark age/spinespur/infinity boards to try and bring more people into the fold for one large coordinated event.

I will have Forsaken and Skarrd (almost every unit for both) i can demo with so you are covered there. There are plenty of people that want to stop by and try out games i know people said that they would like to demo the game to other people that passby. Which i feel is a good thing because many people are on demo teams or want to be and want to bone up on their demo skills. Nothing like teaching new blood a game!

I will be there starting thursday but that doesn't stop people from organizing events for wednesday night.

Thank you Rbree! i would say lets stick to the historical hall? A ruined city fits just about any game that was mentioned, if not i'm sure there will be open fields to play around in. If there are any problems we can all congregate to the next hall? So far we have thursday confirmation for after hours. I will set the time at or around 10:00-10:30? Whats everyone think?

OK. GenCon is closing in on us, so I guess we should make a decision on place and stick to it. Let's follow cerealkiller's suggestion and meet at the historical hall (Serpentine is it? )and meet there at 10:00 on thursday.

Rbree, I will only be responsible if I am there, otherwise we can just replay the video surveillance footage and track them down later. Devil

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

10PM on Thursday works for me! Anyone else interested in Friday, we can keep the same time or just set this one up Thursday. I may also be available Wednesday, I'm attending the stink for the first time, but I'll take a walk through of the miniature areas when finished.

I'll have the large black and white checkered top hat to be visible. Does anybody have a cool clip art symbol and go with the plan of making copies to post? If so please post and or email be the symbol and I'll take care of the copies.

Oooooh, Spinespur! I almost forgot about this one. Cerealkiller, any mention on their forums of someone showing up for this?

What kind of symbols are you looking for?

I just notice you are in Frankfort, Il and I am in Frankfort, Ky, just thought that was funny.

Someone had mentioned a pirate symbol, but that's kind of close to Privateers (I like them and don't want piss them or their lawyers off). Maybe a moon or star based for late night, "no symbol" over official. Just something cool that would be easy to spot in case we get moved or shuffled elsewhere. This way we can kind of leave some easily indentified notes around. It's not that I'm expecting Gen Con to not go smoothly, but you never know.

I wonder if both our towns were discovered by same band of wandering drunk germans that couldn't spell?

officially there are no tournies for spinespur just "damnation events" during regular hours.  The creator said that he would swing by to check things out and possibly play a couple of games. I know that some other people from the various boards i was cross posting this subject also expressed an interest in playing Spinespur. I will have just about every miniature made on hand (to one degree or another painted) so you can test out the rules or possible combinations you might be interested in, i should also have multiple rulebooks for quick reference though it's pretty simple to memorize the rules.

Bubba - awesome. ill make sure to make a couple of copies at staples, maybe laminate post them up and add a blank spot towards the bottom so i can write directions of "when and where" the group can be located.

    Re: After hour gaming! (miniature)

Bubba, this will work great! I'll make up some copies also.

I very much interested in checking out Spinespur, hopefully the creator will swing by as it would be nice to meet and talk with him. So many games and so little time, looks like Starbucks during the day and Redbull at night.

As an added bonus, I just received two sample terrain mats compliments of Zuzzy Miniatures. I'll have these painted up for display and use if anyone is interested in checking and or trying them out. Their textured latex mats are probably one of the coolest and most innovative miniature accessories to come out in long time and I strongly recommend that everyone take the chance to see them.

Well, less than a week to go. Is there anything else that needs to be covered or left to do?

    Guys,

    Just a remindar-

GenCon is very adament about the no posting no flyering rule.  They get charged by the ICC for anything left in the floors or stuck to the walls.

Oops, I wasn't aware of this. I could have swore I've at least seen bulletin boards scattered around the convention site for this. Not to be technical but is this through out the con or by the end of the con, as I could make sure any psotings get removed in a timely manner. Either when we are done for the night or morning, or at the end of the con.

Sorry, they're only 2 x 2. I had also hoped for larger, but they do a very nice job of showing the texture and using them at Gen Con will let me test the wear and tear on them. For the record the mats are really cool and I will be adding several to my collection!

the creator of Spinespur is actually a really cool guy that doesn't mind talking about random things. I think i picked his brain for almost an hour straight before i even demo'd Spinespur.

if we can't post everywhere maybe thursday afternoon i can go to dealers hall and have some of the dealers put them on their tables. What better way to move product then saying "hey thanks for shopping! tonight you can glue up your stuff and play!".

Thanks Dennis, it looks right up my alley.

Cereal, I am planning on demoing Spinespur at the booth, I have high hopes for this.  I am a huge horror fiend, so this would be right up my alley.
