When you run in the shadows, a day where you aren't working is a day were you aren't getting paid. Sometimes survival means taking whatever run comes your way. When the choice is between wetwork and not eating, it isn't much of a choice.

Is this in any way connected to the game you ran last year?

I'm guessing this is "Wetwork Pure and Simple".  If yes, please sign me up.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

Sorry bout that, been at the In-laws for a visit, didn't realize this thread got started.  But to answer your question, Yup this is same GM same SR Missions as last year, and even though storyarc 02 (Denver) is over, you can still use the exp (and character) you get here for the Missions being played at GenCon.  This is, coincidentally, one of the three adventures I actually wrote.

    Mark

EDIT: and yes it is Wetwork Pure and Simple (so there's a good chance it will be a wetwork adventure...)

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

Ah, it appears that it’s back to that time of year where I pimp what will turn out to be the GREATEST adventure of KFG's Wednesday Gaming (written by yours truly).

In that vein, I present the TOP 10 reasons to play BJR’s Shadowrun Missions Adventure:

    10.  How many times have YOU successfully carried a fully-loaded M-16 with under barrel grenade launcher across international borders?

    9.  Tell the truth, you want to use your BOOMSTICK on zombies, don’t you?

    8.  “Wetwork” does not refer to cleaning pool filters.

    7.  Now that magic has returned, Denver is actually interesting (I kid…).

    6.  If you finish early, you can always go skiing (assuming the Yetis don’t get you).

    5.  Thin air is better for you than caustic rain (though having both is especially interesting).

    4.  IF you survive, you can play again next year (and I get another shot at killing your character).

    3.  I promise you won’t be hired to whack Ghostwalker (well, on this run).

    2.  This can’t be nearly as hard as last year’s “package delivery.”

    And the #1 reason,

If you play BJR’s Shadowrun Missions Adventure you get to travel to strange and exotic lands and meet new people and then kill them.

Alright. I thought we were not going to get into Indy until later, but it turns out my buddy got the whole day off. So sign us up for this: Braewe and ThatPhoneGirl.

We haven't yet played a Missions, though we're both familiar with Shadowrun. Do we make our own? We've just got a couple of the SR4 books.

Yup make your own.  400BP you can use all the books available (Currently that's the 4th Ed book, Arsenal (Guns and Rigger coolness), Street Magic, and Augmentation (Implanted awesomeness)).  We won't be using any optional rules but everything else is kosher.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

Looks like this is making the long slow slide.  However, since Origins is over and people are probably starting to focus on GenCon now, I thought I'd give this a bump to see if there are any other Shadowrunners who want to get in on this for a little extra XP before getting into GC proper.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

I am very intrested in the 1PM game on Wednesday.  I've played the first 3 version of the game, and I have the rules for SR4, I just don't have a group to run with.  Any slots left?

If you have two slot left my brother and I would take them both.  If you only have 1 I will take it and he can find something else to do.

Yep, there's two slots available.  You're both in.  ONE SLOT LEFT!

    BTW, that line was great.

    Mark,

Too late to call dibs on the last spot available?  I have a friend who would like to play.

     Thanks,

So, for all the rest of you what kind of characters you bringing? (IIRC, ZF's character is a street mage).

Also, and I can't remember if I mentioned this before, if you want me to review the character beforehand, you can always email it to me, blackjackrackham67@yahoo.com

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

Thatphonegirl is making a 4e version of the 3e physad (We're both mostly familiar with 3e, sorry BJR). We're REALLY familiar with it though, and we've played a couple rounds of 4e, so hopefully not terribly woefully out of sync.

I can't decide between a streetmage, decker, or technomancer, personally.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

Mark got it right.  I'm playing a street mage and my friend will be running a troll enforcer who happens to own a van.  So if we need a ride, we're covered.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

We are going to have to withdraw from this. A friend of a friend had his car blow up, so instead of leaving bright and early and heading straight to Indy, we are now still leaving bright and early but now must detour to pick up said friend.

If we CAN make it, we will still stop by to see if the spots are open, but I absolutely did not want to have you holding the game up and waiting for us if there are others there willing to play. Thatphonegirl is the one who knows where Carl lives, so I don't know if this detour is going to take ten minutes or an hour. He does live in the same city, but. Better to be safe and open up the slots. Sad I've been looking forward to this, too. Either way we will stop by before the Stink to say hey.

    Re: Black Jack Rackham's Shadowrun

While I don't really wanna ninja my way into a spot due to Braewe's troubles...

Can a brudda get hooked up if she does indeed have to drive to the Outter Banks of Lesser No-wheres-ville, and not be able to make it?

If so, I'll probably play the character that I played with you last year. (Woot)  That is if I can find it... It will be the Paranormal Investigator Street Mage concept.

(Oh gods, I leave Monday morning at 10am... I have to work 14 hours tomorrow  and 14 today.. and I'm not even packed!)

My turn to dog pile on braewe.   I have 1 more friend who would like to play.  I mentioned the game to him after braewe and her friend posted they were dropping out.  He just got the OK to extend his GenCon to Wednesday.  That makes 3 with the ZF crew.

Yeah, we are definitely not going to make this. I spoke to her today, and we were originally leaving at 6am. I find out said friend is working an overnight so he can leave on wednesday with us, but does not get out of work until 7am.

I hope you guys cause much mayhem, and fire a few rounds for us!
