GM Email: Event Ticket Payment Request Form

I've finally finalized the ticket payment request form. If you're expecting to be paid for any of your events, make sure to fill out and submit this event to us by August 1st so we can double-check everything and make sure there aren't any hiccups in getting you paid in a timely manner.

Basically, if you want to get your money as smoothly and quickly as possible, fill out the form and follow these directions. Things are a bit different this year (mainly continuing the trend of more explicitly stated paperwork) so if anyone has any questions or any concenrs, please let me know ahead of time so we can get things sorted out for you.

    Event Ticket Payment Request Form

The Event Ticket Payment Request form is now posted online. This form is only applicable if you are asking to be paid for running your events, based on the number of players. If you are not requesting payment, you do not need to worry about it.

If you expect to get paid for the tickets you have turned in for your events (i.e. you added any Special Pricing to the Gen Con Base Price when you submitted your events) then you need to fill out this form.

If you want to receive payment during the normal 8-12 week period after the convention, this form should be complete just to make sure that everyone is on the same page regarding how much they expect to get paid.

If you want to receive your payment on site during the convention, however, you must complete this form and submit it before Friday, August 1st, 2008. On-site payment is only available on a limited basis and you must submit this form to request it. Email your completed form to both events@gencon.com and finance@gencon.com.

If you want to be present on site when your tickets are being counted, you must both submit this form and contact finance@gencon.com to arrange for a time to count the tickets before Friday, August 1st, 2008.

In addition to submitting this form, you must bring a copy of it with you to the show. When you turn your tickets in to GM HQ, you must inform them if you expect payment for that event and have them sign off on this form indicating the time you turned your tickets in.

This ensures that we can count your tickets in time to pay you and to let you know when you can expect to pick up your check.

Your check will be available 24 hours after the last event you turn in tickets for. Any tickets turned in after 4 pm on Saturday at not eligible for on-site payment.

Refer to the Event Host Policy for more information on event ticket payment. If you have any questions or concerns, please email events@gencon.com.

To confirm, these are the steps you must follow to ensure that you are paid in a prompt and timely manner:

    1.  Submit your payment request form by August 1st
    2. Bring a copy of this form with you on-site. Whenever you turn in your tickets, have it dated and signed by GM HQ. Make sure to inform GM HQ when turning in tickets you expect payment for.
    3.  Once you have submitted the tickets for the last event you expect on site payment for, turn in your completed form to GM HQ. Your check will be available 24 hours after you turn your form in, and tickets turned in after 4 pm on Saturday are not eligible for on-site payment.
    4. Keep a copy of this form for your records if you would like to retain a receipt for your tickets.
Again, if you have any questions, please contact events@gencon.com and fincance@gencon.com well in advance of the show.
