    Late Badge Registration

I did not meet the badge registration deadline of June 28th but in the past I have been able to buy a badge up until August.  It was nice to still be able to Pre-register for the convention.. Eventhough I still had to pay full price.  Why was this feature taken away?

I still have nightmares of that line that I saw the first year in Indy.  And want to avoid that possibility at ALL costs.

    Thank you

    Re: Late Badge Registration

Sorry; I was told it wasn't going to happen this year.  It was a test thing that was only done for one, maybe two years if I recall correctly.  I guess it just wasn't worth the extra effort it required during a time when everyone in the office is slammed with last minute details.  HOWEVER, you can buy your badge onsite Wednesday, starting at 9am. :)

    Re: Late Badge Registration

I certainly hope that it doesn't cause the nightmarish lines.  I now have the concern of showing up on wednesday without a badge and possibly fighting with a registration line.  We will see how it works out.

One other comment.  Not to sound like an ass.. but its about the customers convience not yours.  The way you make it sound taking money and registrations from customers was a hassle.

    Thank you

I didn't get that impression from what she was saying at all. The GenCon staff works super hard every year to put together an awesome convention for everyone. A convention that caters to numbers in the 20 thousands. They have so much they need to do and that is why they set their pre-registration dates for dates that they know they will be able to handle. I don't think it's fair to act like the GenCon staff is inconveniencing you because you missed the pre-reg dates. They do as much as they can for the customer within the boundaries they are able too.

Sorry Cpt Squah, I didn't mean to imply that; it's just that so few people used the service, and it created so much extra work, that it just wasn't feasible to do.

    Re: Late Badge Registration

I have to agree, they had to cut off at some time to get stuff in the mail. I do not remember it being much of a line on weds last year.

    Re: Late Badge Registration

No problem.. I understand.. if it was something not a lot of people used.. Then I understand totally... That also means that it should not effect the lines at the convention if not a lot of people used it..

Knowing more about the situation know spreads light onto it.

Thank you for spending the time to answer my question.

    Re: Late Badge Registration

No problem, like I said from what I saw weds the lines were not very long to register or get tickets for events. I will be in the event line myself  LOL
