Hey guys, I know this is the costume contest thread, but it seems people are using it for more than just the costume contest. 

 

But since we're getting close, and I'm sure everyone is starting to plan what they're going to wear on what day, maybe some photo shoot gatherings can be scheduled for some fun photos!

 So I'm looking for the following group types:

 Paradise Kiss

Trinity Blood

Resident Evil

Final Fantasy

X-men

Nana

Peach Girl

Air Gear

 

So whatever groups are out there, that's what I'll base what I wear on.  *^_^*  Anyone up for it? 

 

If you threw Star Wars on the list, I'd be there.  

yes, but others might like to do a Star Wars gathing!  I did make a maternity Padme costume for my friend. who will be there Saturday and is prego!  She might! 

But at least this is a start for people to start talking to others about getting together for awesome shoots.  I just threw out ideas for things I have costumes from.  ;)

My motley crew will be there on Saturday.  We are a mismatched bunch if there ever was one. 

Barring any last minute changes we are:  Selene from Underworld, Sailor Jupitor, 2 Chinese warriors and 1 bored, cranky, Nintendo fanatic (no costume required).  Funny thing tho, we are all totally camera phobic.  It should make for an interesting day

 

 

 

 

 

 

If I had more time I could bring  my Miwako costume, but we depart next Thursday and I'm only 85% done on my main costume :(

Awww...that would have been awesome!  I so would have taken my Grand Prix dress out of retirement to have a shoot with you!  I have a George costume, and an Arashi wig too, so we could have had a full group!

I had a feeling you wouldn't be able to resist the power of Parakiss!  *^_^*  I was thinking Friday evening?  After the exhibit hall closes, but before the the Queen of geeks pageant.  I'm working in the exhibit hall, so a big old ball gown wouldn't be a good idea to wear early on.  I might wear my Miwako or Mikako outfit though while I work since it's more fitting.  We could do sister photos then too!  Maybe if we're lucky we can find bodies to dress as George and Arashi!  YAY!

Don't be discouraged guys; you know, I think costume photo meet ups are a great idea, and one I've never thought of; maybe it something you guys can submit as events next year?

Also remember that not all costumers go to the costume contest, I'd say less than 1/2 do.

Oh, I'd love to see the ParaKiss costumes!  I wanted to make one for this year, but didn't have the time...I have several other lovely outfits though. ^_^  Also, if anyone happens to be coming as a character from Dragonquest 8, I would love a photo gathering!  I am dressing up as Ms. Jessica, and my b/f is Hero.

I saw that there will be a Deidara there, and if anyone else is up for a Naruto shot, I am! I'm going to go as Tsunade. Though UNLIKE what Naruto calls her, I'm not that old. T.T

well, the exhibit hall doesn't close until 6.  and I'm doing the pageant at 9 on Friday.  Would Thursday work?  Maybe I can do it on my lunch break Friday.  I'll be at the Anime Depot booth.  If you wanna find me to talk about it  =)

I have a Yukari School Uniform costume. Although I wasn't planning on bringing it since I have my promotion out fit for my booth to bring, 3 larp costumes and my Saturday costume. Depending on when my larps are and what time you guys decide to do the shoot, I may bring it... although I would HATE to step on the toes of someone who did a Grand Prix dress! If I don't bring the costume, I could crossplay for you guys. I would have a ball with that.

Oh you wouldn't be stepping on my toes at all!  The more the merrier!  I actually might not be able to get into my Grand Prix dress on time for a shoot.  The hair extensions are a bit of a challenge, and I need help  *^_^*  I was thinking about wearing it for the Queen of Geeks Pageant Friday Evening since I have friends helping me dress.  So maybe we can get together right before that starts if you guys want that dress in the shoot.  If you wanna see it, you can go to

But if we shoot for Thursday or Sunday I can wear one of my Miwako or Mikako ones.  LOL...or crossplaying would be fun!  It might have to be Arashi though, unless you have short blue hair!  I have a Billy Idol wig that we can use for Arashi, but you would have to supply the outfit and such.  George I have the blue coat that I made that he wore for the fashion show.  So then you would just need hair, pants, and shoes.

Holy cow!  I just checked your myspace.  You were the girl in that Awesome Siam at Acen!  I loved you guys!  ;)  I was the Astharoshe that was runner up for craftsmanship.  I can't wait to get to meet you at Gencon!

Ah!  I didn't know Siam and Avianna were the same person!  Not to mention Waldo's girlfriend!

It's amazing how we see each other all over and yet it's often so hard to recognize each other....  It's great to put names with faces -- well, with costumes, anyway.  Faces are strangely mutable in this hobby.  ;-)
