    Crazy New French RPG

There was a new game company at GC08 with an interesting fantasy RPG that also had a board game and a card game that all worked together. I don't remember the name, unfortunately, and I can't find the card I got. I know it was real purty - lots of gorgeous illustrations - but that's about it. No, wait, they also had an endcap booth near the back of the hall.

Anyone remember what this might have been called? I want to check it out, but can't recall the name.

Are you talking about Rackham's Confrontation line?

No, this was a really small company (like three guys) and it was brand spanking new. It was mostly sold as an RPG, but the card game and board game could fit in with it, and you didn't have to play the RPG if you didn't want to.

They had a double booth near the back of the hall. I really wish I could remember the name, because I was really impressed.

Another Forumite, Dave Campbell, found Living Dice's online list of the 2008 Vendors.  So these guys might there.

The only thing that has a card game, board game, and RPG with the same settings would be Anima. It also has a miniature game.

I asked around at RPG.net and got the memory jog I needed. The game is called Eoris:

Turns out the designers are Columbian, and I'm just really bad with accents. Thanks for trying to help, guys.

    Crazy New Colombian RPG

OK, I suck for missing this booth (#1927) because I am impressed.  Have no clue what Eoris is about, but their site sure is striking & the music really sets a mood.  But how do you pronounce 'Eoris' & what the heck is it all about?  Hmm.  I've just sent in a request to get a 'free Member's Kit.'  Will post when it comes.

A way for FDG, KFG, BYOV, & AA to help GfH

Also, 'Gamer Wenches' but 'GW' usually means something else in Geek Mind.  Anywho, real quick:

    • so these guys are doing a promotion right now for one of the copies of the Special Collector's Edition,
    • the contest is for a FREE copy of one of thse LE book & it ends Sunday, September 7th.
    • currently the leaders have 20ish entries.
    • my idea is for the GenCon community to act, win this thing, then have it be auctioned off as a fund-raiser for Gamers For Humanity
    • From them in an email to me:  "Also, thank you for your curiosity and interest in knowing more about our new RPG: Eoris Essence. The Member's Information Kit will be sent by e-mail on September 7th, 2008 because, as you might know, we have a special contest running until that date: the person who refers the most number of people to sign up for a free Member's Kit will win a FREE copy of Eoris Essence's Collectors Edition. So, tell your friends and RPG stores to send us an e-mail to members@visionsofessence.com asking to be signed up and tell them to include your name and e-mail address!"
    • My name is Steve G. & my email is AvatarArt@gmail.com; if we win, they'll mail it to me, I'll bring it to GenCon, & give it to GfH to do whatever they wish.  although an auction at The Stink might be kinda cool.
