One of the things that sets Nascrag apart from the rest of the events at GenCon is the work of our house artist, Bill "Indy" Cavalier.

Bill has been illustrating Nascrag events since 1983 and his distinct, whimsical style sets the tone for all of our adventures.  Indy has also been Illustrating the "Can O' Whupass" events in recent years, has a regular comic in Knight's of the Dinner Table, and has appeared in Dragon Magazine and Hardwired Hinterland.

You can see a display of Indy's work every year in the Gencon Art Show but until then I thought I would share our collection of classic "Billos" with the forum.  Sometime next month we will be unveiling the New and Improved Nascrag.org.  It will feature over 600 of the illustrations that Bill has done in the last 25 years.  It's an amazing body of work, and just leafing through it brings back all sorts of fun memories of GenCon's past.

I'm just going to jump around randomly to whatever catches my eye. This is the cover art from Nexus III: Death Takes a Holiday.  I'm not sure if you can read it at this size, but the bottle on the ground reads "Ban de Sol Dwarf".  Indy is always sticking little jokes like that throughout his art.

This is a Non-Nascrag piece entitled Cold Steel.  It's one of my personal favorites.

Here is a crowd pleaser from last year.  This is Feral Roo.  Poor little Roo got caught in a swirl of raw chaos and got himself turned into this twisted parody of himself.  As you can see this was was hard on the rest of the residents of the 100 acre woods.  Cristopher Rooooobin, come out and plaaaaay!

Alas, poor Bimbledore.  Imprisoned, replaced with a bumbling simulacrum, discredited, ultimately just a vengeful spirit.

I don't have the time these days to keep updating this page.  I do enjoy sharing Indy's work with the GenCon Audience though.
